Begg's "Corporate Acquisitions and Mergers" covers in two volumes all the countries of Western Europe. This volume considers the UK, while volume 2 considers continental Europe. Updating supplements are published quarterly. In 1994 subscribers will also receive a quarterly "Bulletin" advising them of the key changes and developments in the law and practice of European mergers and acquisitions in the previous three months. In addition to updating the work's coverage of the legal, financial, tax and administrative issues affecting acquisitions in any Western European country, the 1994 Supplements will also publish extensive explanation and commentary. The treatment of each country in the EC follows the same approach: regulatory framework, identifying and valueing the business, structuring the transaction, potential risks and liabilities, paying for the acquisition, shareholders' agreements, merger control and anti-Trust laws, market dealings, employment issues, tax planning account for the acquisition or merger.
